Lukas Kaufmann is an architect, designer and photographer currently based in Berlin, Germany. Having graduated with a Master degree in architecture from the Technical University Munich, he worked on various projects across the globe including the design of a school building in Kibwigwa, Tanzania. He participated at the Solar Decathlon 2015 in Irvine, California in collaboration with the University of Texas (Austin) and spend one year studying at the Universitat Politècnica de València, Spain. After joining a summer school at the University of Sydney, he focused on multi-story timber constructions as topic for his master thesis. He participated at the Renzo Piano World Tour 2019, an architectural excursion around the world. At the moment he extends his knowledge in this field by working on small scale timber projects at a Berlin based office.
